Luke Duffy
MBACP

Previously, I worked as a sourdough bread baker for ten years and before that I worked as a graphic designer. It was during this time that I begun to engage with my own personal struggles. Therapy was so transformative and helpful for me that in 2020 I decided to train as an Integrative Transpersonal Counsellor at Re-Vision in NW London. I am a fully qualified and registered member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy. Recently, I undertook further training with Re-Vision to work with couples who are struggling in their relationship(s).
I am a father of two children and enjoy working with mums and dads on their journey through parenthood.
I draw on influences from Eastern traditions, such as Kundalini Yoga and the mindfulness practices of meditation and breathwork. These lenses can allow me to take a holistic and embodied approach to our work together, if you feel these might be helpful. You are in the control of how we work. I listen to the content of your story, as well as the internal process you may be engaging with at this time in your life.
I am sensitive to issues around gender, sexuality, class, ability and race. Both spaces I work from are wheelchair accessible. I am an LGBTQIA+ friendly therapist. I am committed to being anti-racist and continue to grow my understanding around issues of power and privilege, within myself and my profession.
I work within the following psychotherapeutic modalities: Psychodynamic, Humanistic, Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Gestalt, Jungian, Transpersonal, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Couples therapy, Eco therapy, Integrative counselling, Compassion focused therapy and Somatic experiencing.
I consider myself to be skilled at (though not exclusive to) holding space in the following areas:
- Men's issues / Embodied masculinity
- Cancer survivors
- Grief
- Assertiveness and boundaries
- Narcissistic parental abuse
- Integration of psychedelic experiences
- Psychosis (and the potential for spiritual awakening)
- Shame
- Ancestral / Inter-generational legacies of trauma
- Migration trauma
- Depression as a gateway to homecoming
- cPTSD and Trauma and how to integrate their legacies
- Integration of Visionary or Dream experiences
- Somatic experiencing
I have previously seen clients at the Psychosynthesis Trust in London Bridge and the Community Counselling Service in Canterbury.
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us"
